Year Book initial ideas

Here are some initial ideas for the year book proposal, they are quick sketches to show some examples of layouts.

We had already spoke a few times about what we could with the brief before Christmas, so we began to draw out ideas and sketch layouts that we thought could work. We wanted to create something interactive and fun. A use of fold outs was something that was mentioned, which I loved the idea of as I love paper folding and Origami. We were thinking how we could have fold outs without making the book to thick which did prove difficult.

We thought about having folds diagonally across the square to make triangular folds, but we then encountered the problem of having an odd shape to place things on. We also talked about perforated pages that could be torn out that had work and a bio on it. Another idea was to have a slot for business cards that could be taken out or perforated out of the back of the book, but the problem with this was that people wouldnt want their business cards all on the same stock.
