Year Book Meeting One/ PT&SP

We had our first meeting with the Printed Textiles and Surface Pattern course leader on the 4th of March where Fred cam along and went through all of the deadlines and what was expected of both parties. We established that any deadlines that arent met by either party could result in the year book being suspended. Fred made it clear that this year book is part of our FMP and it is very important that deadlines are met. If a case where a student from the course does not give us anything we may need for the year book by a given deadline then we hold the right to not include in the year book.

After Fred had gone we spoke with Duncan for a while and discussed what his ideas were of the year book and an insight into what he wanted it to be like. He did mention the fact though that he was completely open to any suggestions and ideas as he didnt really have a concept for the design.

Heres a few pointers made from the meeting:

  • Year Book will be a PDF only
  • Open to any concepts
  • Think of the course as a Tribe
  • The course is very successful and win many awards
  • The studio environment is very important for the success of the students and the course
The next meeting that we have with Duncan will be to present a concept
